Senior Democratic Services Officer

About the Role:
This is a key role within the Democratic and Member Services team, supporting the Principal Democratic Services Officer in delivering high-quality committee and democratic services. You will be responsible for managing committee work programmes, producing agendas and minutes, advising Members and officers on governance and constitutional matters, and supporting scrutiny and policy development processes.
You will also clerk independent appeals panels, contribute to the modernisation of democratic processes, and support the Electoral Services Team during elections and referenda. The role requires a strong understanding of local government law and procedures, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a politically sensitive environment.
