Grounds Maintenance Supervisor – Landican & Heswall
About the role:
We are pleased to advertise an internal opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the day‑to‑day maintenance and presentation of Landican and Heswall Cemeteries.
You will play a vital role in maintaining safe, dignified and well‑presented cemetery environments, working sensitively alongside Bereavement Services and the wider community.
This role is ideal for someone with strong horticultural skills, supervisory experience, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, sensitive services for our community.
About the Candidate:
We would like to hear from you if you have knowledge of Cemetery management and experience of staff supervision and management.
As part of the ground’s maintenance duties, you will ideally have experience of a wide range of grounds maintenance machinery to include handheld equipment, pedestrian mowers, ride-on mowers and in the use of grave-digging equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Some evening/weekend work may be required.
Ability to travel across the Borough is essential.
