About the role:

Wirral Council is responsible for delivering high‑quality, personalised care and support across all service provision. This role will contribute to fulfilling this statutory responsibility by helping to shape, develop, and sustain an efficient and effective Community Care Market, with a strong and continual focus on quality improvement.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering this programme of work across Wirral, working closely with care providers, health partners, and Adult Social Care operational teams to support and strengthen the Community Care Market.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and maintain effective working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. A key priority will be to assess the quality of care delivered by Adult Social Care providers, promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement and supporting providers to improve outcomes, resilience, and long‑term sustainability.

About the candidate:

The successful candidate will demonstrate energy, resilience, and a positive, can‑do attitude in a fast‑paced environment where priorities and ways of working continue to evolve. They will be flexible, highly organised, and an effective communicator, with the ability to manage their own workload confidently while balancing competing priorities.

You will be comfortable working within a hybrid working model, able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively as part of a wider team. You will have experience of working to defined targets, analysing and interpreting information, exercising sound professional judgement, and communicating clearly and effectively with customers, providers, and a wide range of stakeholders.
