Interim Senior Manager - Adult Social Care (6 Month Fixed Term)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Interim Senior Manager to provide leadership and oversight across our hospital-based and community-based Adult Social Care services for a 6-month period. This is a key strategic and operational leadership role responsible for delivering high-quality, integrated services across STAR, Home First, Transfer of Care Hub (ToCH), Community Integrated Care Coordination (CICC), and Occupational Therapy (OT) services.

You will lead service delivery, manage complex budgets, drive quality improvement, complete on work streams within agreed timeframes, and work collaboratively with NHS partners and other agencies to improve outcomes for residents. The role offers an exciting opportunity to lead service developments within Occupational Therapy, support ongoing developments within all teams, and contribute to the Adult Social Care prevention agenda. You will also play a key role in embedding current and future CQC improvement plans and working closely with the Senior Manager for Safeguarding to ensure services continue to meet the highest standards.

About the Candidate:

We are looking for a highly capable senior leader with substantial experience of managing services within Adult Social Care, Health, or an integrated care environment. You will have a proven track record of strategic leadership, successful change management, partnership working, and delivering service improvements within complex organisations.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Significant experience in a senior management role within health or social care.
  • Strong operational and strategic leadership skills.
  • Experience of managing complex budgets and delivering efficiencies within agreed timeframes.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and regulatory requirements, including CQC.
  • Excellent partnership working skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across organisations and professional disciplines.
  • Experience of leading and supporting organisational change and transformation programmes.
  • A relevant professional qualification and registration, such as Social Work or Occupational Therapy.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished leader to make a significant impact, support service transformation, and help shape the future of Adult Social Care service delivery.
