Advanced Practitioner - Staying Close

We are looking for an Advanced Social Work Practitioner within the Staying Close project on a temporary basis from December 2025 until September 2026.

The postholder will manage four members of staff, some budget management, allocations to staff and quarterly reporting to the DfE as well as attending regular Steering Group meetings.

The Staying Close project is designed to be accessible for young people both in and leaving care and if they need additional support around housing, education, social isolation and mental health. The project also benefits from two therapeutic practitioners that support the staff and some individual work with the young people. Close working links with the Permanence Service and Leaving Care Service are essential for the success of the project.
